2019 American Indian Exposition Aug. 14-17 The Exposition features a week-long program of dance contests, parades, pageants, beautiful baby contest, sporting events such as softball, and art contests.

The American Indian Exposition, held annually during the first week in August at the Caddo County Fairgrounds in Anadarko, Oklahoma, is one of the oldest and largest intertribal gatherings in the United States. In 1935 it was incorporated as the American Indian Exposition with the state purpose of “promoting and retaining Indian cultural life, handicrafts, and arts and crafts. The fairground also

provides camping accommodations for the participants. Visitors from across the nation and abroad have flocked to Anadarko each summer to witness the expo’s colorful dance and pageant presentations. Princesses represent individual tribes and honor this event.
