Blast Back to School Supply Donation Program Blast Back To School aims to relieve the burden of back to school expenses for local families in Story County.

Mission Statement: Story County Blast Back to School Fair aims to relieve the burden of back to school expenses for local families of K – 12 students in a festive and engaging environment that fosters community relationships. Story County Blast Back to School Fair, presented by Storey-Kenworthy is an engaging, energetic event for Story County children entering grades Kindergarten through 12. Each child will receive basic school supplies and backpacks while supplies last, to help them start their school year. Our goal is to build relationships and make connections. It takes about $100 worth of supplies for each child, so we are encouraging donations, so children can be equipped with school necessities. This event is a community effort coordinated by committee members from the Boys and Girls Club of Story County, United Way, Volunteer Center of Story County, Ames Community School District, Gilbert Community School District, Nevada School District, Ballard Community School Distict, Colo-Nesco Community School District, Ballard Food Pantry, Cornerstone Church, Lutheran Church of Hope, Ames Public Library, Storey-Kenworthy and community volunteers.
