Blair County African American Heritage Festival We are bringing back the beloved AAHF to Downtown Altoona in the Heritage Plaza!

Experience the powerful rhythms of West Africa with FREE drum classes led by Dante L. Mitchell of the Ibeji Drum Ensemble.

All ages are welcome to attend.

Classes will be held twice per month, on Mondays, May 4th through October 19th.

Celebrate Juneteenth at the seventh annual Juneteenth block party, Roots, Rhythm, and Resilience: Celebrating Our Legacy. Start the celebration off on Friday, June 19, with a Juneteenth Arts Exhibition at Woskob Family Gallery at 6 p.m. From noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, along the 100 block of Fraser Street, join in on the fun at the Block Party Celebration, featuring performers, vendors, and celebrations.
