On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, I had the opportunity to attend the Huntingdon County Farm Bureau banquet and represent our community. Being able to meet and talk to people like the President of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Chris Hoffman, Kelly Fedeli from Senator Judy Ward's office, Regional Organization Director Joe Diamond, and so many members from surrounding FFA Chapters.

I was so happy to have the opportunity to share some updates on what I have been up to so far and also what the Sinking Valley Farm Show has been up to. Being able to advocate for agriculture as the Sinking Valley Farm Show Queen is one of the biggest honors, and I am thankful to those who invited me out to the banquet!

What a fun day supporting our Sinking Valley Farm Show Queen and Queen Program at the Irish Hermitage Day on Saturday in downtown Tyrone. We had a booth and had opportunities to talk with people about our farm show, handing out save the dates of our farm show (September 15-19), coloring pages for kids to bring to the farm show, and selling donated baked goods to support the program. Thank you to the board members that donated baked goods. Thank you to all of the visitors that helped make this event a success! The Farm Show Program is a great program for young women! It helps build leadership skills, public speaking, and community engagement skills. Young woman gain confidence, professionalism, and life long friendships through their experience. On Friday, February 27 I had the opportunity to attend the first Sheep and Fiber Arts Day at the Tyrone Christian Academy. My station was to educate elementary, middle, and high schoolers on sheep and how important they are.

🐑 One of the topics that shocked people most at my station is that there are over 1,000 pure and crossbred breeds of sheep all over the world! While I may not own wool sheep, it helped me to better demonstrate the examples of other sheep and their uses. Handing out coloring pages was the best part! You better be on the lookout because those pages will hopefully be displayed this year at the Sinking Valley Farm Show!

🐑 By the end of the day, not only did I get to have an amazing time and share information about our fair and sheep, but I got to learn so much from other speakers there. Even a few of the students taught me some things. Overall I'd like to say a big thank you to the Tyrone Christian Academy for inviting me out because it was such an amazing opportunity!

This past week, I had the opportunity to represent the Sinking Valley Farm Show at the Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Contest in Hershey, PA. Not only is it an incredible honor to be called the Sinking Valley Fair Queen, but it is also an honor to represent my community and everyone involved in my fair.

I had the chance to meet and catch up with some of the other fair queens of Pennsylvania fair, including Alexis from Big K**b Grange Fair, Rory from Shippensburg Community Fair, Daisy from Butler Fair, Madison from Dayton Fair, Gracie from Huntingdon County Fair, Emma from Elk County Fair, and so many other amazing young women!

I got to learn so much over the week and experience so many new things I would have never imagined. I also want to give a huge shout-out to all of the Sinking Valley board members, because none of this would have been possible without you, and to my parents, because they are some of my biggest fans.

Congratulations to the 2026 PA Fair Queen, Olivia, and her alternate, Rory! I cannot wait to see what comes with the rest of the year!

Tonight we want to wish our Fair Queen, Catie Sklenar, the best of luck! Tonight is the final night of the Pennsylvania State Fair Association of County Fairs Annual Convention. Catie has done a wonderful job representing our fair during her competition. Thank you Catie! We are very proud of you!!
