Lewis Burns in Informal House Concert August 17 2025 in Alpine!
Didgeridoo, Art, and Cultural Sharing
Concert, Storytelling, and Potluck followed by group jam- bring your didge + 1:00pm to 9pm
Lewis is from the town of Dubbo, Australia, about a five hours drive beyond the Blue Mountains north west of Sydney. Lewis is a Wiradjuri aboriginal man, an "old school" fella that goes bush to suss out good hollow eucalyptus trees with just an Axe and a hand saw (no chainsaw). He is also a highly regarded artist on canvas, murals, and wood-burning. Http://lewisburns.com
Potluck: Please bring a dish you are proud of- we have some great cooks in our group. Grill, oven, and stove available. Beverages- good beer, wine, water, etc. to drink and share.
Concert: starting 2:30pm approximately featuring Justin Yasgoor
Google maps: 19184 Japatul rd. Alpine, Ca. Printable Directions on website
Lawn chairs and shade recommended. Wear enclosed shoes. Weather is WARM.
COST: Our events are purely by donation- give what you can! We get that not everyone is flush with cash. REALITY CHECK: Lewis comes as he wants to share his culture and travels thousands of miles at great expense. If we do not raise enough to make it worthwhile he is not returning. This means we need to average over $50 per person attending- look around and do the math counting people attending. Please give what you really can or this is the last concert.
