We’re thrilled to see all the excitement surrounding our new rodeo events at this year’s fair!
One question we’ve been hearing often is: What’s the difference between a Ranch Rodeo and a Traditional Rodeo?

Ranch Style
Most rodeos showcase professional athletes competing for points and big prizes. Ranch Rodeos are different. Here, you’ll see working cowboys and cowgirls from real ranches put their everyday skills to the test in the arena. Every steer sorted, every calf branded, every rope thrown is something these competitors do back home on the ranch.
That authenticity creates a connection unlike any other. Fans don’t just watch — they understand. They see teamwork, grit, and ranch traditions passed down for generations.
Traditional Rodeo
Traditional rodeo is the competitive SPORT side of the Western lifestyle — the events most people recognize from the professional arena. It features timed and roughstock events such as bull riding, saddle bronc, ba****ck riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, and team roping.
