As we continue sharing feedback from our 2026 Alpena County Fair Survey, we want to highlight a few of the comments we received and provide some additional information!

We’re working toward making our website a one-stop shop for all things Alpena County Fair, including event schedules, ticket information, registration details, and other helpful resources for fairgoers.

For this feedback about offering a discounted price for both nights of the rodeo, we did have a special rodeo ticket bundle available for purchase online during this year’s fair!

We appreciate everyone who took the time to share their thoughts with us. Your feedback helps us identify what’s working, where we can improve, and what we should consider as we plan for 2027!

We need some helpers! Monday, October 12th at 6 pm. Meet at the Grandstands at the Alpena County Fairgrounds.
We have found a mess! We need to pick up trash that has blown all over the track area. We appreciate an hour of your time to help us pick this up! Thank you!

Listening, Learning & Looking Ahead to the 2027 Alpena County Fair

Again, we want to thank everyone who took the time to complete our fair survey and share their thoughts, experiences, and suggestions. Your feedback matters to us, and we appreciate the comments that give us actionable ideas and opportunities to make improvements.

As we begin responding to the feedback we received, we want to be clear about our intentions. Our goal is not to be defensive or make excuses. We know there is always room to grow, and we recognize that every fair experience is different. Our hope is to provide additional perspective where it may be helpful, clarify questions or misunderstandings, and, when appropriate, ask for more feedback so we can better understand the concerns and ideas being shared.

We also know that meaningful improvements take time. Rather than trying to address everything at once, we plan to work through survey comments throughout the year as we evaluate what worked, what could be better, and what changes may be possible as we plan for the 2027 Alpena County Fair (and years to come).

We want this to be an ongoing conversation with our community, not just a survey that gets completed and forgotten. As we respond to comments, we encourage you to join the discussion! Additional insight, respectful conversation, and different perspectives can help us better understand what our community wants and needs from its fair.

The Alpena County Fair is built through the support of our community, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, and fairgoers. We may not be able to implement every suggestion, but we are committed to listening, considering your feedback, and continuing to work toward a better fair experience for everyone.
