UPCOMING DERBY WEEKEND UPDATE

Unfortunately, due to insufficient angler interest in competing in South Dakota, and the inability to obtain permits for NE and KS waterbodies, I have made the decision to cancel the upcoming tournament weekend scheduled for October 17–18.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest, and please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

MISSOURI RIVER DERBY UPDATE

With the rumor mill of lack of anticipated participation for next weekend's derbys. Hosting a derby with 3 maybe 4 teams is simply not feasible for the organization.

At this point in time I am planning to either change venues (to hopefully gain more teams) or drop the derby all together.

If you want to see a venue change please reach out. I am open to any venue in South Dakota. We will just have to cap total attendance to 19 (don't think we'll have an issue here).

I will make the final decision on Sunday to give competitors amble time to cancel or make new lodging arrangements.

These upcoming tournaments on the Missouri River are the final two TOC State Qualifying Tournaments in the South Dakota Division. If your team wants a chance to qualify to compete at our TOC or be named SWB South Dakota State Champions you best better not miss this one!!

If you haven't seen it yet, the JIGGING JUNKIES not only earned their second Weekend Overall Weight Title this past weekend, they also took the honors of being named our very first Nebraska State Champions!!!!

These Cornhusker State bass nerds weighed in a whopping 34lb 1oz bag of buzzbait munching, jig chewing, emerald colored battle pickles to secure both titles!!

Congratulations Hunter Suchsland, Colton Kelle, and team sub Zack Burke you gentlemen are officially the best bass fishing team in the good life State in 2026!

The JIGGING JUNKIES absolutely crushed the competition at Sherman!!!

The weather leading up to and during the weekend put the fish in a wonky mood compared to the weekend leading up to the derbies, challenging the anglers to work hard and think outside the box for their fish.

Colton Kelle and Hunter Suchsland easily secured Saturday's W with this seasons biggest bag of Sherman's dock loving green bassquatches weighing 19lb 4oz! And snatching Sunday's W with a nice satchel of Central Nebraska's big mouthed wing dam cruising ditch pickles weighing 14lb 13oz!! 😆
