And that’s a wrap!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Shanty Days Juniors Tournament. It’s always fun watching all of you compete and this year was no different.

Remember to take time to be kids after an eventful summer. Enjoy these last couple weeks of summer and good luck in your fall sports this year!!

Today is the day!!

Those that did not sign your waiver, a second email was sent for you to complete the waiver.

Check in starts at 8:30 online. Meeting at 8:45 by the boardwalk for a quick rule/set up run down. Games start at 9.

Registration is closed!
We have a total of 12 teams with about 100 kids registered to play, spanning four counties and 10 different high schools.
I have attached the link to follow for pool play and bracket play. Please look closely to see when you are playing/reffing. Everyone will be placed into a gold bracket, single elimination, seeded based on point differential/wins and losses (aka Points Matter).
If you have not completed the waiver, you need to log in to complete it. I do not want paper forms on Sunday unless absolutely necessary. When you registered, you should have received an email from Volleyball Life regarding your registration. Go in and claim your account and complete the waiver.
If there are any issues, please reach out. I will have limited availability over the next two days, but I will answer you as quickly as I can.
Remember this is a family friendly, not formal event. It is meant to allow you all to compete with your friends prior to fall sports starting. Take this opportunity to have one last hoorah with your friends and have a lot of fun doing it.

At long last....Registration for the 2023 Shanty Days Juniors Tournament is live.

Another Shanty Days Juniors Tournament in the books!

Our favorite thing about this tournament, is and always will be, how all of you come together to compete AND cheer on your friends on other teams. We love seeing the familiar faces coming back year after year, bringing many new faces with you.

The Shanty Days Juniors Tournament has grown significantly over the years. This year’s registrations spanned 10+ school districts and two states, with 50+ kids and as many spectators. Your love for competition is not only giving you a last hoorah before buckling down for school and fall sports, but also helping to foster a love of volleyball in the community. Hats off to our youth!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this year a success! We hope to see you again next year!

CLARIFICATION POST:

Shanty Days Juniors Beach Tournament WILL be happening tomorrow, Sunday, August 14 at 9AM.

The adult tournament (Shanty Days Battle on the Beach) was cancelled today, Saturday, August 13 due to weather.

I also am aware that many of you will be participating in the parade at 12 PM tomorrow. At noon, we will break from our games to watch the parade and support those that are competing in the tournament in their band performance.

T-2 Days!

Here are the brackets, court assignments, rules and set-up.

Check In will start down on the beach at 8:30 AM. Once all teams are checked in, we will have an information meeting up near the boardwalk.

Pool Play begins at 9:00 AM.

If you have not paid or turned in your waiver, please send me a picture of the waivers and bring your money on Sunday.
