Hey all, hope you are all excited to go Saturday! Here are a few things to know to help things go smoothly. We will start our first wave at 9 and go every 8 minutes until 11. If you have anybody that still wants to run, just have them come and sign up that morning!
We recommend getting there 30 minutes before your scheduled time. Parking will be just south of the actual check in area (same spot as last year). This allows for parking, check in and bag check. In your swag bag you will get to bracelets with numbers on them. Put one on and one on your bag, this is how we know what bag is yours. After the run don't forget that we will provide a porkchop meal for all runners (spectators can eat too, by donation).
What do you need to know about the course? It will be close to a 7 mile course and has 29 man made and natural obstacles this year.
It is a variety of terrain and very hilly! This year we have it marked with spray paint, so please run BY the marks and not ON the marks. We would like to make sure the later groups can still see where they are going! Lots of green out there this year, this will include possible poison ivy and thorns so take that into consideration when wondering what to wear! If you don't feel comfortable with an obstacle, then by all means go around it!
We do have changing rooms for you in the barn again this year as well.
*No one that is not a runner is allowed to do any of the obstacles! Please help us out in keeping insurance costs down by respecting this rule!
Spectators are welcome and we will shuttle them to a view different locations where they can then walk to whatever part of the course they would like. We will also have merchandise for sale at the registration area.
Please be sure to thank those people in the pink shirts this year, without them volunteering to help we couldn't put on this event.
Thanks again for your support.
The address to put into your GPS is:
1521 200th St
Aledo, IL 61231
Thank you,
