2026 for Festival of the Forks
Our 2026 Grand Marshal for the 59th Annual Festival of the Forks parade is, Alan Morgan. Alan serves on the Board of Directors with the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, but as a member himself, you may know him best from Al's Automotive Excellence. Alan is no stranger to Albion, as he grew up here watching some of his family be actively involved in the town. His grandmother, Patricia, many of you may know her as Peg Eckmyre, spent many years working for the Chamber and was heavily involved in the community. His grandfather was also a business owner here in Albion, so it is no surprise that Alan is now spending his time being an active member of the Chamber and a business owner. Alan found passion in all things automotive at a young age and was able to build a business with that passion around his full time job. Thankfully, for our community, Alan was able to leave that job at Enbridge in 2025, after more than a decade of service, to pursue Al's Automotive Excellence full time, which has been a successful business here in Albion since 2019. Since going full time, he has been recognized as the Best of the Best in Auto Detailing for two consecutive years, 2025 and 2026!
When Alan is not sharing his passion and expertise in auto detailing, window tinting, lighting and accessories for cars, trucks, motorcycles, semis, and more . . .you can find him spending time with his two German Shepherds, Max & Tucker. You have most likely seen them riding around town with him or down at his shop and saying hello to everyone they pass by! But, Alan's business and his dogs are not his only focus. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter for the Sheridan Fire Department, which he has been proudly doing for nearly 21 years. Beyond that, he is quick to jump in other jobs to help local businesses and community members, such as helping Zick's Body Shop out with wreckage calls, spending early mornings and late nights clearing and salting parking lots and driveways during winter, and can be found helping to serve where is needed or requested by his business neighbors. Along with his work and volunteering, you can find Alan Morgan participating in various community and Chamber events such as Sweets on Superior, Festival of the Forks, Albion Aglow, business celebrations and ribbon cuttings, and is quick to engage in conversation to network and learn about those in his presence. He not only works and serves in his community, but Alan is known to visit and support Albion businesses daily, and always takes any opportunity to refer other businesses and products that are local here to Albion.
Alan received multiple nominations for the Grand Marshal due to his work in the community, both professionally and personally. Alan has grown to share his passion in building a better Albion through his active involvement in the community. Many of our friends and business owners here in Albion think of Alan as family and without a doubt agree that he has a heart for helping others, a true representation of servant leadership, and is a huge part of what makes Albion great! It is because of community members like Alan Morgan, who grew up in Albion, watching his family and friends be involved, and chose to actively help create a better future for his community, that we can continue to move forward and continue to grow as a town, as a community, and as a Chamber. He is an essential part of making Albion a great place to live, work, and visit. Alan is exactly the kind of business owner, friend, colleague, and family member we are proud to present as this year's Grand Marshal.
The Festival of the Forks parade will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. on Superior Street in downtown Albion, Michigan.
