Did you catch the ORIGINAL Miss Albertville, Barbara "Barthel" Nelson, in the parade yesterday? Congratulations to the Albertville Royalty Program, who are celebrating their 50th year in 2025!

We had the honor to meet the very first Miss Albertville who was crowned almost 50 years ago! Barbara “Barthel” Nelson was behind us in the parade, and walked up to us to greet us and tell us how Don's Auto Service & Repair - BP Gas Station was her sponsor all those years ago! How neat. She reminisced about my Grandpa Don and how Grandma Janet was so excited Barb won Miss Albertville. Our hometown favorite, the Grande Day Parade steps off at 12:30 today and will follow Main Avenue all the way through downtown. Be sure to arrive early to save a seat!
