The store is still coming! Thank you for your patience as we navigate through this construction mishap. The biggest challenge is the WAIT for the process to unfold.

Due to a plumbing error, our (new) ceilings need to be replaced before we can open.

We will update as we get new information about timelines..

Due to Plumbing errors, we are still waiting for construction repair dates before we can set a new store opening.

Brick+Mortar Market is all about helping entrepreneurs succeed. For the last few weeks we have seen these young men out selling lemonade with the hand written sign on the left. We noticed they go out day after day in the heat... Often for several hours waving their sign trying to get cars to stop. They picked a poor spot where traffic went by too fast and their sign was a little hard to read...
So today Nic stopped by their stand. Asked a lot of questions about their lemonade, what it's made from, whos idea it was, where does the money go... You know, typical "Artisan call" inquires. By the time the conversation was over, he had invited the boys back to his shop where Nic and Zoey quickly made some marketing materials to help the boys increase their ability to reach customers...
If you are around the downtown Albert Lea area between Clark and Main and the Library to Morin Park and you see some nice lemonade signs. Stop by and enjoy a glass, they will service you with a smile.

Oh. And the lemonade is delicious.

Oh No!
Urgent update: Brick and Mortar will need to delay our June opening.

Over the last few years our building has been remodeled from top to bottom; In the process replacing all the plumbing, heating and electrical. Although we are thankful that we did not have any flood like in the cartoon, it has come to our attention that there was some mishaps with our new plumbing and now our ceilings and insulation need to come down to fix the damage. That is A LOT of messy work in our new beautiful store.

This bittersweet news comes just days before we are getting ready to start merchandising the store. Thankfully we have awesome staff that will take this opportunity to connect with more awesome makers and artisans across our region.

We also have huge flex space for all our artisans to teach a class or two if desired. Our goal is to give each guest who walks through our doors an experience, not just a place to shop.
Brick + Mortar Market creates a culture where you focus on making goods, leaving all the other tasks for us to handle.

By sharing all this across multiple vendors, we are able to keep a monthly market fee to a VERY low rate.
