✨ Just sitting here reflecting on an unforgettable weekend at the Renaissance Black Film Festival 2025 ✨
From October 9–12, we came together to celebrate the power of storytelling, community, and creativity. Every screening, conversation, and connection reminded us why we do this. To honor the beauty and brilliance of Black cinema. 🖤🎬
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who showed up, bought tickets, volunteered, and supported in every way. Your presence made this festival truly special.
And a big round of applause for our 2025 award winners:
🏆 Best Documentary Short: Naturally Crowned by Joy Deas
🏆 Best Narrative Short: Rehash by Kevin Giles
🏆 Best Documentary Feature: Me Period by Lisa Cunningham
🏆 Best Narrative Feature: Outdoor School by Ike Etuk
🏆 Programmer’s Choice Award: Nya Does Nothing by Erica Apantaku & Jenny Casas
Here’s to more stories, more connection, more community and more renaissance moments. Until next time…keep shining, keep creating, and keep sharing the magic.
