We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Duncan Stewart, former Executive Director of the Albany Convention Center Authority. Duncan’s vision, dedication and expertise were instrumental in the creation of the Albany Cap Center, which stands as a testament to his leadership and commitment to our community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Duncan’s wife, children and grandchildren. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew and worked with him.

Last week, we reached a major milestone in our expansion project when the Albany Cap Center's pedestrian bridge was placed between the ACC’s existing building on Eagle Street and the expansion space at 126 State Street.

This enclosed walkway will connect both buildings for guests to seamlessly navigate all 84,000 square feet of the expanded space. Check out an aerial view of the bridge structure!
