Camp Beaverton This is for fans and campers of Camp Beaverton; a community and a Burning Man camp for wayward girls

Camp Beaverton is a group of queer women/trans/genderqueer/lesbian/bisexual/heterosexual/etc... or folks who are simply as wayward as the playa is dusty. We celebrate sexuality, self exploration, and respect for one's journey on through this life. This amazing group of Beavers congregates in-person, online, regionally, and at the Burning Man festival annually. Moderators will remove spam, discriminatory or intolerant posts.

After finally making it to the Playa during Muddy Man 2023, Mookie found a community that kept calling her back. She joined Beaverton in 2024 after a chance meeting with Fox and quickly found a camp that felt like being a kid again—playing, laughing, and building friendships.

Now, she’s excited to co-mayor alongside Fox, Meg, and Wysty, helping create the same sense of connection, collaboration, and joy that made Beaverton feel like home. 💖✨

The mayor introductions continue… meet Wysty!

Wysty found her way to the Playa after years of hearing about BM and finally saying a wholehearted “yes.” What followed was a journey of self-discovery, community, and connection that led them to Camp Beaverton—and even to meeting their partner. Inspired by the care, play, and radical self-expression of the Beaver community, Wysty is stepping into mayorship to help foster the same sense of belonging, joy, and authenticity that changed her life. 💖🏕️✨

First up: Megan!

In her own words:

“I first met Camp Beaverton in 2022 and spent the next couple of years getting to know the community through events and friendships. Sharing a house with the Beavers at WWRR turned out to be exactly what I needed—laughter, crepes, teamwork, karaoke, and connection. By the end of the weekend, I knew I’d found my Playa family. I hope my participation in leadership will continue to draw others into our legacy and create opportunities for inclusion, connection, and growth.”
