King of the Court Alum Brandon Weems has been named General Manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers and we are proud to call him one of our own. Akron born and bred. West Akron’s Lewis and Weems family are indeed filled with joy right now. He has always excelled academically named National Honor Society as a high schooler Weems had stellar basketball career at St. V-M winning state championships. Later going on to Walsh College where he was always ranked amongst assists leaders nationally, led Walsh to NAIA national championship and named All American. The man had an in and out crossover that was wicked. Salutations to another great one from the golden era of Akron Basketball 1999-2004
