Hello runners and walkers,

In 30 days we would have been running the the Run to the Beach 5k and 1-Mile Scramble. We originally postponed it until June 20, but unfortunately our State Parks won’t be allowing large groups in the foreseeable future where we race, and we need to cancel for 2020. Even the world-renowned Portage Lakes Fireworks isn’t able to happen this year. It was scheduled for the week after our race.

If you've already registered, you have three race options:

1. Go Virtual and we will mail you your giant medal and tech t-shirt. No need to prove you did a 5k – we’re 100% absolutely sure you’ve been race training for months, and that counts enough.

2. Defer your race to 2021. It will take place the Saturday before Easter next year. No need to reregister. Only let us know.

3. Get a refund. If you want a refund, please let us know before June 3 as we will be coordinating refunds the following week for those who want them.

Please let us know which option of the three you choose by sending an email to [email protected]. That way we can print up the right number of shirts and start shipping your items out, or work out the deferral of your race to 2021, or issue a refund.

Run to the Beach POSTPONED - New Date June 20

Runners, walkers and Easter egg hunters,

Due to the recent Coronavirus events and based on policy statements from the CDC and State of Ohio, and with safety of participants in mind, we are POSTPONING the Run to the Beach 5k and Easter Egg Scramble. It will instead take place June 20 at Portage Lakes State Park.

We are grateful to both our timing company Enmotive and the state park for working with us in securing the new date so that we can put on this always-fun event and not have to cancel it. And since it ends on the beach, and is in June, you can run through the finish chute straight into the water if you want.

If for any reason June 20 does not work for you, you can either switch to the virtual run or defer your entry until 2021. Our great medals are in transit to Ohio now so you won't miss out on your swag in June.
