This is a difficult post to write, but here I go.. I am a one woman show and after 5 years of working on my business, I’ve realized that I need to take a step back from it for a while. I’m a single mom and work a full time job. I juggle a lot and I’ve noticed that in doing so I don’t have as much time for my son that I would like. He is growing up fast and it’s important to me that I make time for him and those that I am close to. I wish I could do it all, but in this season of life I’m realizing that trying to do it all is taking a toll on me mentally.
So for now, I’m closing my business. I’ll be removing my inventory from The Sage and Lavender Collective tomorrow evening and slowly start closing down my website thereafter. BUT I still plan on being involved with the shop. So monthly book clubs aren’t going anywhere! And I may occasionally do events at the shop as well. I love the community we’ve built there and I have no desire to step away from that completely.
In my heart I don’t believe this is the end of Cozy Corner Books. It has been a dream of mine to expand this business and I intend to take this time to make plans for how to make that dream a reality when the time feels right.
I appreciate all of you who have supported me one way or another. It has meant so much to me to share my love of books and reading with you all. A special thanks to Jess, Ashley, and Valerie who invited me to join the shop when it first opened. You guys have been such a light in my life and your support and friendship has meant the world to me. I’m so proud of all that you guys have done.
So this is good bye, but only for now. In the meantime, keep reading. ❤️
