Hey all! I’m looking for real honest suggestions on how to boost car count if I do another event. I know the weather probably played a huge factor for the out of town guys that didn’t make it. But what could we do to make it more enticing for everyone. Some changes I’m for sure doing are.

Longer drive portion of the event.

The payouts will be bigger.

It will be later in the season as well so we don’t have the weather issue.

The winner of the streetcar class took home $2500 runner up $1000 and the guy in the semis took home $600 where are you finding payouts for streetcar races like that around here here?

I’d like to do pre entries too if I could find out how.

Bike guys what do y’all think?

Please give me some honest suggestions I take criticism pretty well but I want to make sure if I put this much effort into another event I’m not gonna be bummed out by the turn out.

At the end of the day it’s not always the fastest car that wins, it’s the one that makes the trip every time. It was a good first event thanks to Mother Nature for killing our car count though. We ended up having only 6 cars and 2 bikes. One of the cars didn’t make it back for the drive so we had 5 in competition. Thank you to all that supported this deal maybe we will get something put together for next season. For right now I need a break 😬.

Congrats to Matt Huit in his little blazer for being the most consistent car of the bunch. He made 3 passes all within a couple numbers of each other and that’s what it took for him to take home the win. $2500 and that badass championship belt.

Brian Collinsworth was battling all weekend with traction issues but made it to the finals to come up short to matt’s blazer. But he took home $1000 and the chain for the fastest pass in the streetcar class.

Congrats to Jerry Blake for taking home the win in the street bike class on his busa. These guys ere going to run best 2 out of 3 but the rain put a stop to that on Saturday. Jerry took home $550 and the championship belt for the bike class.

Matt Atkinson rolled through the beams against Jerry leaving with a red light but went quicker than Jerry so he go to take home $250 and the fastest street bike chain.

Justin muse was our only loss in the semis so he took home the money for the semis with $600 cash in his pocket.

Allison muse was the fastest (and only) female in our drivers list so she got to take home the prize for fastest female from Race Wife Graphics.

Mark jennen and Justin Yeo both had troubles with their fast obs trucks. Justin’s didn’t make it back from the drive and Marks spit the driveline out on the starting line.

One of these guys is taking home $2500 and a badass championship belt the other will be taking home $1000 and a head held high being in the final of the baddest streetcars in the pnw

Hey all, as of now we are planning on racing tomorrow. My current plan is

8am registration opens
9am slowpokes drivers meeting at the base of the tower at the slowpokes tent
Following the drivers meeting everyone will be free to make the drive to players and spectators where I will meet you to make sure everyone makes it there.
11am chip draw for 1st round at the slowpokes tent.
Noonish we will run first round and get the show going

I hope to see a lot of badass cars and cool people to make this thing awesome. See everyone in the morning!

We are two days out from the first annual Slowpokes Streetcar Shootout. I am getting more excited by the day. I cant wait to see all who show up to put a cool show on for the people of Spokane.

Some important information for this weekend.

The gates open at 4 pm on Friday.
The gates open at 8 am on Saturday.
Spectators are $20 each day.
Both the streetcar and street bike class have a $50 tech card at the gate. The but in for the streetcar class is $125 cash at the sign up table the buy in for the bike class is $75.
There is free overnight camping allowed at the track there are NO water or electric hookups for campers.
If there is enough interest I will put together a heads up shootout for door cars on Friday night it does not have to be a streetcar and the buy in will be $75 we can do a bike one as well the buy in will be $50 all money goes back to the pot.
I will be accepting signups for Saturdays event Friday night and the shootout for Friday night starting just after 4pm at the top of the stands behind the tower.
Cars signed up for Saturdays event or Fridays shootout will be ran out of the hot loop.
Please bring your registration and proof of insurance to the sign up table when you sign up for Saturdays event. We will also have our t-shirts for sale at the sign up tent and various Race Wife Graphics items.
