BAM Brooke Anne Makowiec Softball Tournament All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Brooke Makowiec Scholarship Fund, to assist Addison High School graduates in continuing their education.

Brooke Anne Makowiec was a beloved and gifted young member of our community who was killed in an automobile accident on December 9, 2005 on her way to college. Brooke was a talented softball player and catcher for the Addison High School Girls Varsity team. In 2005 Brooke helped her team win the Section V championship. At the time of her death, she was catching for the Finger Lakes Community Colle

ge, where she was pursuing a degree in Communications. Her career goal was to be an ESPN sports commentator. All proceeds from the softball tournament will benefit the Brooke Makowiec Scholarship Fund which was established in order to assist Addison High School graduates in continuing their education.

Players, seniors 62 and older, children 12 and under, and military have free admission.

Unfortunately, due to flood damage last Fall the school currently only has 1 field available that would meet the needs of our tournament. The timeline for the availability of a second field has not yet been determined, so rather than planning a tournament that may have to be cancelled , we have decided to wait until Father’s Day weekend 2023 to have one final BAM tournament.
