Grand National People Chase Unique and exciting 5K run/walk/ 1K fun run benefiting MD International Equestrian Foundation.

Ever wondered what the other side of the course looks like during dressage or horse trials? Loch Moy Farm is sponsoring a 5k (3.1 mile) event for bipeds over a horse trail without obstacles. This event benefits The Maryland International Equestrian Foundation to support equestrian sports from grassroots to FEI levels, and is committed to provided funding for the development of dedicated riders to

compete at the top levels of our sport. There will also be a 1k Fun Run, as well as a free stick-horse race or children under 9!

Loch Moy Farm has been fun for horses, now it's your turn! Saturday, May 20th, the Grand National People Chase to benefit the Maryland International Equestrian Foundation

The rolling, challenging 5K course will take you through the picturesque Loch Moy Farm used for over 40 equestrian competitions each year. Runners will be led out by a rider on horseback over grass before heading into wooded trails* along the Monocacy River. After emerging from the woods, runners will run along a grass field while enjoying views of Sugarloaf Mountain and riders taking their horses over cross-country jumps. The course continues crossing a short stretch (ten feet) on a gravel and paved driveway before heading on a wooded trail back to the grassy finish area. This course is spike friendly.

*Please note that some sections of the wooded trails will be single track.

Note: Strollers and wheeled devices are not allowed. Well-behaved, leashed dogs will be allowed on the course. Please be aware that your dog may encounter horses.

There will also be a 1K Fun Run & a Stick Horse Race! The Stick Horse Race (we provide the equine!) is open to kids 9 years and under, free of charge.
