🎭 AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT 🎭

Be part of something truly special this summer! We are bringing Making Hands back to the stage. This is a powerful, community-driven, original production that tells the story of Robertson County through the unique perspective of a plot of land and the families who have lived on it across generations.

Through the eyes of the Clay family, a fictional family inspired by real people and true events, the story reflects the triumphs and tragedies of Robertson County history, from early frontier life, to the legend of the Bell Witch, the Civil War, and even the Blackpatch War. It is a deeply human story that captures the experiences, struggles, and resilience of families across time.

This production was originally created, produced, and performed by The Robertson County Players in July of 1996 for the Tennessee Bicentennial. We are incredibly proud to bring it back to the stage with the help of Community Spirit, in cooperation with the Robertson County Historical Society and the Rural Arts Cooperative.

This production is supported by a Tennessee America 250 Grant, celebrating our community’s role in the story of America as we approach the nation’s 250th anniversary. It’s a beautiful opportunity to come together, honor our roots, and create something unforgettable.

✨ Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying something new, we welcome you! Be prepared for a cold read of the script!

Everybody check this out! The cabin looks AMAZING! Big thanks to all involved getting this done!

The Bell Log Cabin got its new roof yesterday. It looks wonderful! If you have seen the cabin in the last year, you knew it was in desperate need of a new cedar shake roof. It also got new decking and a moisture barrier installed. We are extremely grateful for the Tennessee State Museum Capital Improvement Grant that funded this project.

Thanks to Risher Roofing for their quick work on this one!
