In honor of this being the last week of school for many Abilene-area public schools, we want to give a big shout-out to the "Kind Club" from Wylie West Junior High School - Abilene, TX.

Just like our friends with the Legends Dove Hunt, these amazing kiddos were inspired to give back and spread some joy to patients at Hendrick Children's Hospital. The Kind Club created custom care packages for kids in our hospital, along with notes of encouragement and prayers of support.

Thank you, Kind Club! And we hope that you and all your friends have a safe, fun and healthy summer!

During her career as the primary fundraiser for Hendrick Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network, Melinda has raised millions of dollars to help thousands of local children receive high-quality healthcare close to home!

Melinda is getting inspired this week at the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Annual Conference. She also connected with CMN co-founder Marie Osmond and representatives from fellow children's hospitals around the country.

Through CMN, we have access to many incredible ideas and opportunities to better support and serve the children in our community through Hendrick Children's Hospital.

We are thankful to be part of a mission that works to ensure a bright and healthy future for all children.

Thank You Thursday – Long Electric Co. answers the call throughout the Big Country to serve individuals' residential, commercial and industrial electrical needs, but their help does not stop there. They also annually partner with local organizations and causes they believe in – like Legends Dove Hunt.

Our annual hunt has one goal: to raise the most money possible to bless local moms, babies and kids. In more than two decades, we have received more than $5 million toward that goal. This would not happen without good people (and good companies) like Long Electric.
