CALF Children's Art + Literacy Festival in Storybook Capital of America June 11-14, 2026: The Children's Art & Literacy Festival (C.A.L.F) will celebrate "The Art of Winnie-the-Pooh" on exhibit at the NCCIL!

The Children’s Art & Literacy Festival (CALF) is a yearly festival created to help promote literacy and creativity and is another reason why Abilene is the Storybook Capital of Texas! The downtown-wide event features the nationally recognized children’s illustrator exhibiting at the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature. All readings, events, and crafts, are based on the work of th

e illustrator. The weekend is a fun and educational event for the entire family.
