OUR HOUSE!
Turn an ordinary appliance box into an extraordinary playhouse! In this hands-on class, kids will use their creativity to design, decorate, and transform large cardboard boxes into imaginative spaces—whether it’s a cozy cottage, a castle, or a rocket ship. We’ll provide paints, markers, stickers, and plenty of craft supplies to bring each playhouse to life. This activity encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and artistic expression while giving kids a fun, eco-friendly way to play. Ages 4 – 8 with parent/guardian.

IS CAUSING AN EPIDEMIC OF MENTAL ILLNESS BY JONATHAN HAIDT
The mental health of young people continues to decline, with increases in anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. Join us as we explore how the shift from play-based childhood to phone/technology-based childhood has rewired our kids and impacted things such as socialization, sleeping patterns, and perfectionism. ELECTROFORMING
Learn the intricate process of fusing copper onto another medium where a low voltage charge is passed through the materials to create a relief that becomes a separate part in its own rite, allowing artists to create thicker copper structures, layered over other materials in this 2-week class. BACKYARD ASTRONOMY FOR BEGINNERS
Did you know you can see a galaxy 2 ½ million light-years away with your unaided eyes? Craters on the Moon with binoculars? Countless wonders await you any clear night. The first step in astronomy for beginners is simply look up and ask, “What’s that?” This class will introduce you to a lifetime of enjoyment viewing the night sky. Children should be accompanied by an adult. People wishing to participate should put their names on the interest list at the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Office by calling 626-7015.
