💛 Thank You, Louisiana Cattle Festival Family! 💛

Our hearts are full as we wrapped up the 76th Louisiana Cattle Festival. To everyone who came out and celebrated with us, even with the predicted forecast, Thank You. Your support, your smiles, and your love for this tradition mean everything.

We were truly blessed that the weather held off on Friday and Saturday, giving us two beautiful days to enjoy the parade, the music, the food, and the fellowship that makes our festival so special.

To our amazing volunteers, thank you for your tireless work and dedication.
To our wonderful sponsors, thank you for believing in this festival and helping us grow year after year.
To our Festival Royalty aka The Herd, thanks for representing us with poise and grace.
To our city workers, police department, and sheriff’s department, thank you for keeping our community safe and our festival running smoothly.

This festival thrives because of YOU our community, our supporters, our families, and our friends.

Good MOOrning everyone! 🐮☀️

Festival Sunday is starting, Horace Trahan is hitting the stage followed by Nik-l-b**r! No gate, just a good time in downtown Abbeville!

Unfortunately, due to the road slickness and for the safety of the public, the cattle, and their families, we will be canceling our Cattle Drive on Concord procession and Blessing of the Bovines this year.

Join us on our final day of festin as we party until the cows come home!🐮🎊

The b**r is iced down, the bands are rolling in, and the good times are up to you!! Opening Ceremonies are still on at 6:30 pm, so join us in downtown Abbeville for this FREE community event!

We’re excited to share this year’s festival layout with our community. The grounds have been organized to make your visit smooth, enjoyable, and full of great experiences.

✨ What You’ll Find on the Map:

Arts and Crafts Vendor area arranged for easy browsing in Magdalen Square.

Designated food zones with plenty of local favorites along with a covered seating area to enjoy all the delicious food.

Entertainment sections for music, activities, and a true fais do do.

Clear walkways and accessible routes throughout the festival grounds

What's one of the best things about our festival you ask?
We’re held right in downtown Abbeville on asphalt — no mud, no flooding, no worries. Just good music, great food, and the traditions we all love.

🌧 If showers pop up, no problem!
Bring your rain gear and come ready to have fun. We also have covered areas available to keep the good times rolling.

📣🐂 GRAND PARADE 🚨🐂

🚨🚨 Reminders: Deadline for entries is tomorrow October 1st

Save the Date:
Grand Parade
•2:00 PM
•Saturday, October 3rd

Please read through the rules and regulations with a few minor adjustments, New this year all entries will lineup at AA Comeaux park! 📿🐮🎶

The parade will begin at Railroad Avenue on South State Street, then turn right on Lafayette Street, turn left on St. Charles Street toward the Vermilion Parish Courthouse where we officially do our ‘traditional milk toast’ to our royalty, then proceed onward turning left on East Vermilion Street, and left on Washington Street. The parade’s official end will be Magdalen Square— the perfect place to then join in on the festival fun in downtown Abbeville! 🐂🎉🥛

✨We are excited to be able to have our route go around our “festival grounds” which is historic downtown City of Abbeville! This will provide the opportunity for festival fun before and after the parade without having to leave the festival to view parade— all in similar location!

An event you don't want to miss at the Louisiana Cattle Festival, taking place Saturday, October 3rd at 4:00pm in front of the stage in downtown City of Abbeville, Louisiana—BEEF RIB EATIN’!!

Join in the fun and see who will eat their ribs the fastest to be awarded our Rib Eating Champion! 🤠
