From the donations collected during Tour of Karamoja 2025, support for girl’s education continues creating real change in Karamoja

Vicky was one of the girls sponsored through the Tour of Karamoja during the 2025 edition, and now we are proud to see her continuing her education journey with hope, confidence, and new opportunities ahead of her.

She started the 2026 school year after participating in the beginning-of-year camp. Stories like Vicky’s remind us that every kilometer ridden, every donation made, and every person who supports the Tour of Karamoja contributes to something far bigger than the ride itself.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who continues supporting girl’s education through the Tour of Karamoja and helping create opportunities for young girls in Karamoja.

Final Stage 8 🚴🏿‍♂️
Timu to Kidepo Valley National Park.

The final ride of the Tour of Karamoja 2025 started high in the mountains of the IK community at over 2,000 meters above sea level, before descending into the wild beauty of Kidepo Valley National Park.

Rain, mud, steep climbs, rocky trails, fast descents, and long day on the bike .... Last year’s edition pushed riders in every possible way. But somewhere between the tough climbs and the endless landscapes, something special happened. Riders connected with communities, crossed through remote villages, and experienced a side of Uganda many never imagined existed.

From Germany, the Netherlands, and beyond, riders described the Tour of Karamoja as one of the toughest and most rewarding cycling adventures they have ever experienced. Every day brought different weather, different scenery, and different emotions but always something worth remembering.

And then came the final descent into Kidepo. Tired legs, muddy bikes, huge smiles, and the feeling of making it to the end together.

The 10th edition of the Tour of Karamoja returns from 31st October – 10th November 2026.

A new chapter begins

Nadio is now working in a restaurant in Kidepo Valley National Park stepping confidently into the tourism world and turning her training into real opportunity.

After completing her studies at Matany Girls vocational school and with support from the Tour of Karamoja she is now building her future in one of Uganda’s most iconic destinations.

Her journey is a beautiful reminder of how far determination, support, and opportunity can go.
