National Fathers’ Day in Uganda is marked on 21st June every year, in honour of all Fathers for everything they do for their children. This is an occasion to express gratitude towards our Fathers for all the love and support that they share with us. Emphasis is placed on the individual father’s role in child upbringing at home, school and the entire community in terms of provision of basic needs and care for holistic and meaningful child development This day provides a platform for Fathers to discuss their experiences in order to challenge all practices that hinder them from being good Fathers, thus rejuvenate their value within Uganda and Internationally. In Uganda this Day is celebrated on 21st June every year, and it was organized for the first time in the Country by Men’s Protection Against Domestic Violence (MPADV) on 21st June, 2016. The occasion was graced by the Third Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Kirunda Kivejinja as the Guest of Honour from Bat Valley Theatre in Kampala under the theme “Do Fathers still
