Jay-Z Releases Highly Anticipated 4:44 Album

Hip-hop greats stepped out Thursday to honor the legacy of Prodigy, who passed away last week at the age of 42.

A private funeral service was held at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in New York City, according to the New York Daily News, which saw appearances from the Mobb Deep rapper's closest confidantes and famous collaborators.

50 Cent, LL Cool J and Ice-T appeared visibly emotional as they prepared to pay their respects to the artist. Other guests included Remy Ma, Fat Joe and Havoc, who was Prodigy's groupmate in the popular rap duo. Scores of fans also gathered in front of the church to mourn their loss.

50 Cent took to Instagram with a photo from the somber event, indicating that he eulogized Prodigy during the service. "I never spoke at a wake or funeral before but I felt like I had to say something at P's Rest In Peace prodigy God Bless," the "Ayo Technology" rapper wrote.

Venus Williams was involved in a recent car accident that left one man dead, according to a police report released Thursday and obtained by E! News.

The collision occurred on June 9 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., though 78-year-old Jerome Barson died two weeks later after being taken to the ICU with head trauma. The victim's wife (who suffered broken bones and other injuries) was behind the wheel and approaching an intersection when the tennis pro's 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV moved into the intersection at the same time.

The driver of the 2016 Hyundai Accent told authorities there wasn't enough time to stop her car from colliding with the side of Williams' vehicle. Meanwhile, the sports star claimed that she entered the intersection on a green light, but because of traffic, she slowed her car down and thus could not clear the intersection. Additionally, Williams said she did not see the Barsons' car when she crossed into the lanes.

Witnesses told investigators that Venus ran a red light.

According to the police report, there was no evidence Venus was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, nor was she possibly distracted by an electronic device.

Serena Williams' older sister, 37, is currently being held responsible for the accident, with a portion of the report stating, "[Venus] is at fault for violating the right of way of [the other driver]."

Palm Beach Gardens Maj. Paul Rogers told ABC News that the incident remains under investigation. She has not been cited or charged.

The all-star athlete has yet to comment on the incident, but her attorney released a statement to ABC News expressing "her deepest condolences to the family who lost a loved one."

The famous siblings famously share an 8,500-square-foot mansion in an exclusive gated community situated in the South Florida city where the accident took place. In 2015, Serena reportedly purchased a $2.5 million home in the same area as well as a $4.125 million estate in neighboring Jupiter.

Venus holds seven Grand Slam titles, four Olympic gold medals and is currently ranked the No. 11 women's singles player in the world. She is expected to compete at Wimbledon next week.

Attention all you Jay-Z fans out there, his highly anticipated 4:44 album is finally here.

The 13th solo studio album from the Grammy winner was just dropped and it's jam-packed with references to his career, his comrades in the industry and, of course, Beyoncé and their children.

The new body of work was exclusively released through Tidal's partnership with Sprint which is also the same collab that's been teasing commercials for the album.

Several clips featuring Oscar winners Lupita Nyong'o, Mahershala Ali and Donald Glover have been dropped in the past few weeks, giving only hints as to what fans can expect to hear when the full album hits.

In the first commercial teaser entitled "Adnis," the Moonlight actor was shown boxing while Jay rapped the following words in the background:

"Letter to my dad that I never wrote/Speeches I prepared that I never spoke/Words on a paper that I never read/Prose is never pen, they stayed in my head."

A full film starring the actors was available alongside the album&mash;similar in many ways to how Queen Bey dropped her Lemonade visual album on HBO at the same time as the album's release.

This marks the first new solo music from the rapper—who was just recently inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame earlier this month—in four years.

Back in 2013, he dropped Magna Carta Holy Grail which featured many hits including "Holy Grail" with Justin Timberlake.

The chart-topping track earned them the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Grammy Award the following year.

And considering that MCHG sold over two million copies in the United States alone, and was certified double platinum by RIAA shortly after its release, there are some seriously big shoes to fill for 4:44.
