Wa Ganyu understands that MBC has challenged a move by FAM and Sulom to award Mibawa TV as a sole content producer.
MBC Director General George Kasakula says when the tenders were floted, MBC was number one and FAM wrote MBC that they had won this tender to be the content producer of football in Malawi.
"So, we were negotiating when they gave us the offer, there were certain things that we didn't like. We were surprised today that while we were in talks FAM has gone ahead to announce this deal to the nation.This is malicious, it's uncalled for, it's not even necessary".
Kasakula says what FAM is doing is to limit the people that watch football in this country yet Malawians have invested in football.
"I have engaged FAM, I spoke to Walter Nyamilandu and Limbani Matola and Mr. Gunda. I had a good conversation with Nyamilandu and Gunda but I didn't have a good conversation with Mr. Matola."
"We are going to fight FAM on this, make no mistake about this because we are doing this on behalf of Malawians," Kasakula told MBC.
He said there are many ways of dealing with FAM even going to court and ask for a judicial review.
