#活動分享 在台灣的每位移工都有著截然不同的故事。如果因為看到菲律賓或印尼朋友推著輪椅，就理所當然地認為他們擁有相同的背景，那是一個危險的偏見。儘管他們在台灣可能有一樣的身分——不論是看護、家庭幫傭还是工廠作業員，但他們家鄉的背後，每個人出國的初衷都大不相同：有些人是為了改善貧困的家計，有些人只是想探索不同的國家，而有些人則是為了逃離一段充斥著身體、心理或精神虐待的痛苦生活。正因如此，每當我在被稱為「小菲律賓」的中山區主持多元文化導覽時，我總是把焦點放在歷史背景、社群的興起以及他們的日常生活方式，因為這才是「文化」真正的核心。在導覽中如果只訪問特定的個體，不僅會擠壓到學員深入認識整體文化的機會，也容易產生以偏概全的刻板印象，無法代表大多數人的真實面貌。我們常常看到，有些網紅利用「貧窮色情（Poverty Porn）」來博取關注，甚至有些媒體會利用這些辛苦的故事來美化自己的國家。有些人認為，給移工一個平台去述說他們的創傷是一種特別的關懷，但事實上，不斷重複、被迫拼湊這些悲傷的過去，往往只會讓他們重新經歷痛苦，甚至導致憂鬱，對心靈療癒毫無幫助。因此在這個專頁上，我更願意去推廣那些展現主體性、傳遞強大力量的生命故事。我不喜歡利用他人的不幸來當作素材，也不想因為某個人的中文發音「很有趣」，就在不理解語言優雅特性的情況下拿來當作賣點。利用他人的困境來成就自己，內心是得不到平靜的。我寧可去展現他們充滿力量與尊嚴的一面。

Every migrant in Taiwan has a unique story. It is a mistake to assume that every Filipino or Indonesian person pushing a wheelchair shares the exact same background. While they might share a common title here—whether as a caregiver, domestic helper, or factory worker—their motivations for coming to Taiwan vary deeply. Some are here to lift their families out of poverty, others simply want to explore a new country, and many are quietly escaping abusive environments, whether physical, emotional, or psychological.This diversity is exactly why, whenever I facilitate multicultural walking tours in the Zhongshan area—our vibrant "Little Philippines"—I focus on the historical context, the emergence of the community, and its daily lifestyle. To me, this is the true essence of culture. Singling out individual interviews during a tour not only reduces the time delegates have to understand the broader culture, but it also risks creating a biased narrative that does not represent the majority.Too often, influencers rely on "poverty p**n" to gain attention, and media outlets sometimes exploit stories of hardship to make their own countries look benevolent. While some believe that giving someone a platform to share a traumatic story is a form of empowerment, forcing individuals to relive their darkest moments over and over can actually hinder healing and trigger depression.On this page, I choose a different path. I prefer to highlight empowered individuals who share stories of strength. I refuse to exploit someone's misfortune for content, nor do I feature people just because their Mandarin might sound "funny" to an outside audience—a practice that overlooks the true elegance of language. There is no peace in building a platform on the struggles of others; instead, let us honor their dignity and celebrate their resilience.
