2017聯合外語週年度主題：The Golden Age
今年的年度主題「The Golden Age」，在字面上翻譯可能是黃金年代，但也有人會認為是青春的巔峰，而今年，我們的詮釋方面分為三大面向
【青春．永不止息的巔峰】
在淡江校園的各個角落中，總存在個各種不同形式的美好，而我們認為，在淡江學生那打個屁、吃個飯、讀個書，各種舉手投足以同樣是校園中最美好的部分之一。
每個人的青春巔峰期都不一樣，或許是國中、高中也可能是大學，而我們只希望，在你的「青春巔峰期」當中，也能有一絲絲淡江帶給你的美好，甚至這次外語週帶給你的回憶。
【多元．兼容並蓄的態度】
在淡江各大院中，外語學院自許為最有包容力的一個團體，我們就像一塊黏土，任何衝擊都打不倒我們，任何意見我們都能接受，每位學生的想法就是構成我們多元化．國際化的要件。
這次的外語週，我們希望帶給你的不只是異國文化，更是外語學院及國際學院兼容並蓄
．海納百川的精神，讓每位學生能透過學習，成為淡江的一份美好。
【文化．永不枯竭的糧食】
而到了本次外語週的重點－文化，本次外語週跟往年不同的重點戲就是每天晚上都會有學術講座！我們不只希望把各國美食、各國小物帶到淡江之外，還希望能把各國文化深植到淡江的心中。
我們辦的不只是外語週，更期望是一個文化盛宴，讓每個經過海報街的人，無論是校內或是校外，都能感覺到深深的文化氣息，並在心中留下一點回憶。
The Golden Age , 它並沒有一個特定的解釋，無論你認為的它是怎樣的，都希望你能把你的想法帶進外語學院，帶到海報街，跟我們一起分享你心中的那份美好。

2017 Joint Foreign Language Week Main Theme: The Golden Age
This year’s annual theme is “The Golden Age”, some people might directly translate it literally but others might interpret it as “The apex of youth.” As for us; we would like to express it from three different perspectives.
[Youth．The endless apex]
In every corner of Tamkang campus, there are different never-ending forms of beauty. We think that every movement students take, is a part of the beauty in the campus. The apex of everyone’s youth is different, it may be in junior high, high school or in university. What we are hoping for is that at the “apex of your youth” there is a part that happened in Tamkang University, or even in the memories of this years’ Foreign Language Week.
[Diversity．The attitude that embraces diversities]
Among all departments in Tamkang University, the department of Foreign Languages and Literatures is the most tolerant. We are like clay, there is no impact of any kind that can knock us down. We receive all advice and criticism with open arms. The thoughts of every student are the main ingredients to form the diversification and globalization of our departments. During Foreign Language Week, we hope to not only to be the different culture but also the spirit of inclusiveness in College of Foreign Languages and Literatures. We hope every student can have beautiful memories through learning in Tamkang University.
[Culture．The soul-food that’ll never run out]
As for one of the highlight of this year - Culture. This is what makes this year’s Foreign Language Week different from previous years. We’ll hold lectures on different theme every night. We hope we are not only bringing delicious food and exquisite souvenirs from all over the world to you, but also to plant the cultures into the heart of everyone in this campus. We are not simply holding Foreign Language Week, but we are making it a Cultural feast. We want everyone who passes through the poster street, students from Tamkang or not, to feel the different cultural atmosphere. The Golden Age, does not have a certain explanation. No matter how you express it, we hope you can bring your ideas to the department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, to the poster street, and share the most beautiful part of your heart with us.
