四國文化館

桃園市有13萬4千多位的外籍移工和新住民，其中以越南、印尼、菲律賓與泰國為主，他們對臺灣經濟發展和多元文化融合有重要貢獻。這四個國家的氣候條件、農林生態、海洋資源和臺灣也頗相近，本館繼去年展出農業文化後，今年以「南洋寶藏」為主題，展現四國海洋漁業及山間林業的發展脈絡，同時結合當地神話展現各國人文特色，並邀請新住民和移工朋友參與，藉以促進國際交流。

Taoyuan City has a population of over 134,000 foreign workers and new immigrants. Most of them are from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, or Thailand, who have contributed much to the economic development and the fusion of cultural diversity in Taiwan. These four countries bear similar profiles with Taiwan in climate, agriculture and forestry ecology as well as marine resources. After the exhibit of agriculture last year, the Pavilion is themed as “Treasure of the Southeast Asia” that is to showcase the history of the respective marine fishery and forestry in the mountains of the four countries. Meanwhile, local mythology is combined to demonstrate the cultural aspects of different countries. New immigrants and foreign workers are welcome to participate and foster international exchanges.
