大葉大學以「與自然環境共生共榮」的原則，推展八卦台地為「里山精神｣? 與彰化縣府共同規劃建構「綠色環境教育共學基地」促進成功營區綠色環境學習營地的創新發展，近年來亦推展八卦台地為「里山精神｣概念之場域，搭配生態保育、友善農業、農廢再利用及文創加值、文化資產保存等面向來建構環境永續模式。
