As the Exclusive Ship Repair and Maintenance Company of IDC Port in Aliaga, Nemrut Bay, we are excited to share the details of our last two stern tube seal changes and seal bonding services in floating conditions for our valued clients’ vessels at our home port, providing our safe berth as a lay-by-berth.

The repair process, executed by our experienced and certified team, unfolded as follows:

- After securely mooring the vessel alongside, the ballast operation was carried out to raise the propeller above the waterline, enabling it to float to the surface.
- The propeller was carefully surrounded with oil absorbent booms and barriers to prevent any potential water pollution.
- Following the installation of the floating pontoon and scaffolding, the rope guard was removed to perform an oil seal change operation.
- To prevent leakage during the operation, the stern tube was carefully discharged of oil, the seal was changed, and the rope guard was reinstalled, The vessel was then made ready for trial and commenced to safe sail for her next voyage.

The Mare Repair Team looks forward to completing further operations ahead!

We are happy to announce another successful Project of Mare Group to have been successfully completed.
For one of our esteemed clients’ full load of wind turbine blades, under the supervision of Mare’s Port Captains and with the services of our professional Lashing and Welding teams, we have successfully carried out the end-to-end loading operation from cargo hoisting to deck supervision, deck preparations & welding services to the consequent lashing services.

As per the above feedback received, a job well-done and cargo remained safe during rough seas, what more can we wish for..
