Festivalimizin en temel damarlarından biri olan 2 Yakalı Seçki ile iki şehir, iki üretim alanı ve iki bakış bir araya geliyor.
Her yıl partnerlik yaptığımız şehirden bir film ile sabit yakamız İzmir’den bir üretimi yan yana getiriyoruz. Bu yıl Paris’ten partnerimiz The Film Gallery ile işbirliği yapıyoruz. Paris yakasından Pip Chodorov’un Stranger filmi; İzmir yakasından ise Serdar Kökçeoğlu’nun Mavi Devrim ve VHS Kasetler filmi izleyiciyle buluşacak.
Gösterim sonrası gerçekleşecek söyleşide, Mavi Devrim ve VHS Kasetler filmlerinin ekibinden Ahmet Gürata ve Tuncer Mert Aydın bizlerle olacak. Paris yakasından Stranger filminin yönetmeni Pip Chodorov ise online bağlantıyla söyleşiye katılacak.
Zehra Cerrahoğlu moderatörlüğünde gerçekleşecek bu buluşmada, 2 yakayı bir araya getiren estetik yaklaşımları, üretim koşullarını ve filmlerin düşünsel arka planını birlikte konuşacağız.

One of the core sections of our festival, the 2 Sides Selection, brings together two cities, two production contexts, and two perspectives.
Each year, we present one film from our partner city alongside a production from our constant side, İzmir. This year, in collaboration with our Paris-based partner The Film Gallery, we bring together Stranger by Pip Chodorov from the Paris side, and Blue, Revolution and VHS Tapes by Serdar Kökçeoğlu from the İzmir side.
Following the screening, we will be joined by Ahmet Gürata and Tuncer Mert Aydın from the team of Blue, Revolution and VHS Tapes. From Paris, Pip Chodorov will join us online for the discussion.
Moderated by Zehra Cerrahoğlu, this conversation will explore the aesthetic approaches, production conditions, and conceptual frameworks that bring the two sides together.
