🏐 PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT MUST TRANSFER TO THE COURT
Hello, I’m Ali Peçen.
One of the most important things I have learned throughout my many years in volleyball is this:
It is not enough for an athlete simply to become stronger. They must be able to transfer that strength into volleyball performance.
The strength, speed, balance, and explosiveness we develop in the gym or through individual performance training must be fully integrated with technical and tactical training on the volleyball court.
Because our goal is not simply to develop athletes who can lift more weight or achieve higher numbers in performance tests.
We need to transfer:
Strength into the spike approach,
jumping power into blocking and attacking,
first-step quickness into defense and reaching the ball,
balance into serve receive and defense,
and core strength into more controlled, efficient, and powerful volleyball movements.
PERFORMANCE → TECHNIQUE → COURT → VOLLEYBALL
This philosophy is at the heart of our development model at TVC-Türkiye Volleyball Camps.
First, we observe, measure, and analyze our athletes.
Through athletic performance, biomechanical, and posture assessments, we identify each athlete’s strengths as well as the areas that need further development.
Based on these individual needs, we then create a personalized 12-Week AP Sportif Performance Development Program.
During the program, we work on:
• Vertical jump performance
• Strength and explosiveness
• First-step quickness and reaction speed
• Foot–ankle–knee–hip kinetic chain
• Core strength and single-leg stability
• Balance and coordination
• Mobility
• Landing mechanics
• Posture and overall movement quality
