An Inspiring Encounter at Maison Pic: Gastronomy, Art, and Elegance

Located in Valence, France, Maison Pic, a family heritage renowned for its five-star luxury hotel and artistic details, hosted a special meeting. Gökmen Sözen, CEO of Sözen Group, visited the three-Michelin-starred
Restaurant Pic within this legendary complex and met with the world-renowned chef Anne-Sophie Pic.

Reflecting on the visit, Gökmen Sözen stated: “World-renowned chef Anne-Sophie Pic is an inspiring figure in gastronomy, celebrated for her elegance, creativity, and unique sensory approach to cuisine. Each dish reflects finesse, balance, and depth—her cuisine is truly a form of art. The dishes were exceptionally creative and delicious, while the ambiance was simply enchanting. The artworks and the garden area were especially stunning. For me, it was a perfect experience in every sense. The cuisine, wine list, and the restaurant’s design were all remarkable down to the finest detail. This special experience was completed by the gracious hospitality of Anne-Sophie Pic’s husband, David Sinapian—President of the Pic Group and also President of the world-renowned Les Grandes Tables du Monde. I look forward to meeting again soon.”

This visit served as a meaningful milestone, strengthening the professional bonds and sectoral exchange within the global gastronomy scene.

6 Kasım Akşamı Gastromasa’nın 10. Yılını Kutladığımız Gala Gecesini Hatırlayalım!

“Stories of 10 Years" temasıyla İstanbul’da gerçekleşen Gastromasa, Rahmi Koç Müzesi’nin büyüleyici atmosferinde düzenlenen görkemli Gala Kokteyli ile misafirlerine hafızalardan silinmeyecek anlar yaşattı. Dünyaca ünlü şeflerin, gastronomi profesyonellerinin ve ağırlama sektörünün önemli isimlerinin bir araya geldiği bu özel gecede, on yılın emeği ve birikimi kutlandı.
Sözen Group CEO’su ve Gastromasa Kurucusu Gökmen Sözen ile Groupe Gastronomie Conseils ve Piga Conseil Başkanı Guillaume Gomez’in ilham veren konuşmaları, gecenin anlamını daha da derinleştirdi. Keman Virtüözü Pierpaolo Foti sahneye çıkarak konuklara büyüleyici bir müzik ziyafeti ve 3D Çiçekli Tablo Gösterisi geceye etkileyici bir başlangıç yaptı. Gastromasa’nın 10. Yıl Dönümü Konuşmaları ve Solanch De La Rosa’nın enerjik performansıyla tempo giderek yükseldi; gece, DJ Thai’nin ritimleriyle coşkulu ve unutulmaz bir finale ulaştı. Bu özel akşam, 10 yıllık yolculuğumuzun en parlak anlarından biri olarak hafızalarda yerini aldı.

Hosted under the “Stories of 10 Years” theme, Gastromasa welcomed its guests to an unforgettable Gala Cocktail at the enchanting Rahmi Koç Museum. The night brought together world-renowned chefs, gastronomy professionals and leading figures of the hospitality industry to honor a decade of dedication, creativity and collaboration.
Sözen Group CEO and Gastromasa Founder Gökmen Sözen and Guillaume Gomez, President of Groupe Gastronomie Conseils and Piga Conseil, took the stage with inspiring remarks that elevated the night. Violin virtuoso Pierpaolo Foti followed with a captivating performance that filled the museum with unforgettable melodies.

The celebration rose with the 10th Anniversary Talks and Solanch De La Rosa’s vibrant show, before DJ Thai’s dynamic beats brought the night to an unforgettable close.

“Stories of 10 Years – 10 Yılın Hikâyeleri” teması ile Haliç Kongre Merkezi’nde düzenlenen Gastromasa’nın ilk günü, güçlü bir açılışla hayat buldu. Sözen Group CEO’su Gökmen Sözen ve protokol konuşmalarıyla başlayan gün; Ana Sahnede dünyaca ünlü şefleri, restoran yöneticilerini, miksolojistleri ve gastronomi profesyonellerini bir araya getirdi.

Ana sahnedeki etkileyici konuşmalar ve sunumlar, katılımcılara çok katmanlı bir deneyim sundu. Markaların geniş fuaye alanlarında gerçekleştirdiği yeni ürün tanıtımları, tadımlar ve hikâye odaklı sunumları ise gün boyunca bu dinamizmi besleyerek Gastromasa’nın ruhunu daha da görünür kıldı.

The first day of the event, held at the Haliç Congress Center under the theme “Stories of 10 Years,” came to life with a powerful opening. The day began with remarks by Sözen Group CEO Gökmen Sözen and distinguished protocol guests, bringing together world-renowned chefs, restaurant leaders, mixologists and influential figures from the global gastronomy community on the Main Stage.

The compelling talks and presentations captivated the audience and set the tone for a truly multilayered experience. Throughout the day, the vibrant atmosphere continued in the expansive foyer areas, where brands introduced new products, offered tastings and shared the stories behind their creations. These interactions kept the energy high and made the essence of Gastromasa even more visible.

Gökmen Sözen Receives the “Gastronomy Culture Achievement Award” from Kitap Magazine

The “Best of the Year” awards ceremony, organized by Kitap, the monthly culture-arts-lifestyle magazine of Ekonomi Gazetesi, was held on Thursday, November 20, at CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel Istanbul, bringing together distinguished names from the worlds of literature, art, and culture. One of the evening’s most notable highlights in the field of gastronomy was the presentation of the “Gastronomy Culture Achievement Award.”

This prestigious award was presented to Gökmen Sözen, CEO of Sözen Group, in recognition of his unwavering contribution to the development of Turkey’s gastronomic culture and his efforts to ensure its accurate representation both within the sector and on the international stage. The award was handed to Sözen by Tahsin Öztiryaki, Founder of Öztiryakiler.

Kitap Dergisi’nden Gökmen Sözen’e “Gastronomi Kültürü Emek Ödülü”

Ekonomi Gazetesi’nin aylık kültür-sanat-yaşam dergisi Kitap tarafından 20 Kasım Perşembe günü CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel İstanbul'da düzenlenen “Yılın En İyileri” ödül töreni, edebiyat, sanat ve kültür dünyasının seçkin isimlerini bir araya getirdi. Geceye gastronomi alanında damgasını vuran en önemli başlıklardan biri ise “Gastronomi Kültürü Emek Ödülü” oldu.

Bu prestijli ödül, Türkiye’de gastronomi kültürünün gelişmesine ve bu kültürün hem sektörde hem de uluslararası sahnede doğru şekilde temsil edilmesine yıllardır kesintisiz emek veren Sözen Group CEO’su Gökmen Sözen’e, Öztiryakiler’in Kurucusu Tahsin Öztiryaki tarafından takdim edildi.
