• Special light & sound show with the story of the Loy Krathong Festival

"Khom Pad" The folk wisdom that represents culture,
the way of life and religious beliefs of Lanna that
have existed since ancient times.
🌾🐃 Khom Pad are swivel lanterns that tells
the story of the Lanna people through the lanterns.
And Khom Pad will be displayed during the annual
event, festival or temple fair for people to see
instead of the movie.
Khom Pad are invented to have 2 layers of lanterns.
The outside is made of mulberry paper
or white kite paper. And inside is a piece of paper
that has been cut out into various images
related to Lanna.
And Originally, a candle was placed in the middle
of Khom Pad in order to generate heat
and make the lamp rotate. But at present,
it has been modified to use light bulbs. 🕯️➡️💡
And our “The Heaven Lantern” festival,
Aunt Ta brought this ancient wisdom that has been
inherited to this day to be exhibited at the festival as well.
With Teacher Itch Saengkham who conveys this wisdom.

…"Phang Prathip" is considered an everyday item used
for illumination during the night. The lantern is made of
fired clay and is believed to serve as a substitute for candles.
It has a spiritual significance and is used for Buddhist
or ancestral worship. It is also believed to bring prosperity
and abundance. 🕯️
In the "The Heaven Lantern" festival, Phang Prathip
will be arranged in the meditation area. Anyone who wishes
to admire the beauty of Phang Prathip during the evening
is encouraged to visit the meditation area within our festival.
