แม้แต่ลอนดอนก็ยังเผชิญกับอากาศร้อนจัดจนบางกิจกรรมต้องยกเลิก เป็นเครื่องเตือนใจว่าทุกเมืองยังมีสิ่งที่ต้องเรียนรู้และปรับตัว

A little throwback to London Climate Action Week (LCAW)! 🇬🇧🌍
Earlier this year, the BKKCAW team visited London Climate Action Week with Leo Horn-Phathanothai, founder of BKKCAW and co-founder of LCAW, to explore ideas and bring back inspiration for Bangkok.
With over 1,300 events, London showed how climate action can go beyond conferences, from garden walks and theatre performances to lively debates where audiences enthusiastically joined the conversation!
But even London faced extreme heat, with some events having to be cancelled. A reminder that every city has something to learn, no matter how prepared it may seem.
Looking back, it's exciting to see how far BKKCAW has come. With 330+ events, hundreds of thousands of voices amplified across the region, and an Open Letter to the World Bank and IMF bringing Southeast Asia's climate perspectives into global conversations, BKKCAW 2026 was just the beginning.

[BKKCAW Voices | Closing Day] What stayed with people after nine days of BKKCAW?🙋
For many, it was a renewed sense of hope and the feeling that their voices mattered.
That is what BKKCAW is about. A space where people from different backgrounds, professions, and communities come together to share ideas, co-create solutions, and explore how climate action can improve our everyday lives.
And while BKKCAW 2026 has concluded, the movement continues throughout the year, connecting people, ideas, and opportunities to turn conversations into action.🌍️
330+ events. 200+ organizations. Tens of thousands of participants over nine days.
How do you bring all these different voices together and make sure they continue to be heard?
As the World Bank and IMF gather in Bangkok this week, BKKCAW is carrying these perspectives forward through an Open Letter with 10 proposals, inviting global financial institutions to engage with Southeast Asia’s climate communities and explore solutions together. 🤝

What if the economy of the future is already being built today? 🌏🌱
When we think about the future economy, we often imagine new technologies or major investments. But across Southeast Asia, a different kind of economy is already emerging, rooted in generations of cultural knowledge, local traditions, and the relationship between people and nature.
Ben Kellard, CISL and CUSP Fellow, has helped bring together insights from Bangkok Climate Action Week 2026 into an Open Letter to the World Bank and IMF, inviting global financial institutions to support the economic solutions already taking shape across the region and help them grow.
Because building a better economy may not mean starting from scratch. It may begin with recognising what is already working, valuing the knowledge we already have, and creating the conditions for these solutions to thrive. 🍀
