At Poomjai Garden, we’ve always believed that preserving our green spaces and local culture is essential. But for conservation to truly last, it has to be alive—it has to be something you can touch and feel.
Today, we brought our team out into the garden to get their hands dirty. Before we open this experience up to our guests, we wanted to deeply understand the core of it ourselves. We didn't just want to watch; we wanted to 'make' and 'experience' it together.
We started right at the source, foraging in the garden to harvest Nipa palm leaves. We spent time learning how to properly select and prepare the fronds, working as a team to prototype our upcoming workshop: making "Kanom Jaak," a traditional Thai grilled coconut dessert wrapped in Nipa palm. It’s a hands-on process that is entirely sustainable and full of history.
This is the exact goal we want to pass on to you—a workshop where preserving our heritage becomes a tangible, everyday reality.
