Today, our International Relations students stepped into the world of international diplomacy at NTCC - Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce! 🌏

As part of their Bangkok studies, our students visited the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce to get a first-hand look at how global trade and diplomacy intersect.

They explored Thailand’s economic trends, learned about NTCC’s role in connecting Dutch and Thai businesses, and discussed real-world challenges in the regional market.

Questions flowed, ideas sparked, and students left with new insights that bring their classroom learning to life.

A huge thank you to Hans van den Born and the whole NTCC team for hosting us and opening the doors to such a dynamic and inspiring experience 🤝

🇹🇭 Conversations about studying abroad and global experiences filled the Minor Market in Leeuwarden this week.

Our team and student ambassadors were there to introduce students to the Grand Tour Thailand and share what studying abroad in Thailand is really like 🌏

Throughout the day, many students from NHL Stenden stopped by our stand to learn more about the minors offered, ask questions about campus life, and hear firsthand experiences from students who have already taken part in the Grand Tour 🎓

We also had the chance to reconnect with several of our amazing alumni, who shared how their time in Thailand became an unforgettable learning experience—full of cultural discovery, new friendships, and personal growth.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, and to all the students who stopped by to say hello and show interest in the minor.

What an incredible first month for our Grand Tour Thailand students! 🇹🇭

Across the different minors, students have been doing it all — meeting clients, developing new business ideas, working on marketing and communication projects, visiting inspiring initiatives, exploring Thai tribes and art, learning to cook traditional dishes, and connecting with companies, guest lecturers, and organizations shaping Thailand’s business landscape.

Because learning doesn’t just happen inside the classroom — it happens by exploring, experiencing, and engaging with the world around us 🌏

Business, culture, creativity, people, and food — all part of one unforgettable journey in the heart of Southeast Asia.

What better way to welcome our new Grand Tour Thailand students than with the spirit of Muay Thai? 🥊🇹🇭

Orientation Day marked the start of Module Period 3, and we were proud to welcome our largest group of students so far. It was an exciting and inspiring beginning to the new module.

As part of the activities, students learned about Muay Thai, Thailand’s traditional sport. This practice helps build discipline, strength, and respect. It also supports both physical and mental well-being.

The day was full of teamwork, focus, and positive energy, setting a strong foundation for a successful Module Period 3 ✨🤝

As we come to the end of this module period, we wanted to highlight the role of our Global Social Development students as active contributors beyond the classroom.

Throughout the minor, they had the opportunity to volunteer, learn, and give back alongside nonprofit and community organizations in Thailand.

♻️ Precious Plastic Bangkok – learning how caring for the environment starts with small actions
❤️ Scholars of Sustenance Thailand - SOS Thailand – supporting access to healthy school meals
🤝 HUMAN HELP NETWORK Foundation Thailand – standing alongside vulnerable communities
🌱ศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติกองทัพบกบางปู - Bangpu Nature Education Center – learning from nature and its vital protective role

These experiences showed our students that social development goes beyond theory—it’s about empathy, responsibility, and real human impact.

We are truly grateful to each organization for welcoming our students and allowing them to learn through meaningful, hands-on action 🙏

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who helped make this year truly memorable. 🌴☀️ Good news for our students and lecturers: today marks the start of Thailand’s winter season!

The Meteorological Department reports that Bangkok’s “freezing” temperatures are expected to drop as low as around 18°C, with mornings even cooler in the northern and northeastern regions.

While the rest of the world prepares for snow and scarves, here it just means slightly cooler mornings and breezy evenings — the perfect excuse to spend more time outdoors.

From November to February, the air feels fresher and lighter, making it the perfect season to experience Thailand’s version of winter ❄️

So don’t forget your jacket — or maybe just your sunglasses 😎
