Hoy la justicia colombiana envía un mensaje claro: los derechos de los deportistas no pueden ser restringidos por FEDEPATIN mediante amenazas, exclusiones automáticas o medidas desproporcionadas.
El Juzgado Once Civil del Circuito de Bogotá, en fallo de segunda instancia del 7 de mayo de 2026, amparó derechos fundamentales de jugadores de hockey en línea frente a las restricciones impuestas por la Federación Colombiana de Patinaje — FEDEPATIN sobre su participación en eventos recreativos no oficiales.
Esta decisión marca un precedente importante para el hockey en línea en Colombia y para todos los deportistas que creen en un deporte más libre, más justo y más abierto.
Desde IIHS celebramos este avance, reconocemos la valentía del jugador que defendió sus derechos y reiteramos nuestro llamado a que FEDEPATIN cumpla estrictamente el fallo y ejerza su rol institucional desde la promoción, el fomento y el desarrollo del deporte.

Today, Colombian justice sends a clear message: athletes’ rights cannot be restricted by FEDEPATIN through threats, automatic exclusions, or disproportionate measures.
In a second-instance ruling issued on May 7, 2026, the Eleventh Civil Circuit Court of Bogotá protected the fundamental rights of inline hockey players against the restrictions imposed by the Colombian Skating Federation — FEDEPATIN on their participation in unofficial recreational events.
This decision sets an important precedent for inline hockey in Colombia and for all athletes who believe in a freer, fairer, and more open sport.
From IIHS, we welcome this progress, recognize the courage of the player who defended his rights, and reiterate our call for FEDEPATIN to strictly comply with the ruling and exercise its institutional role through the promotion, encouragement, and development of the sport.
