أقام برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية في سوريا (الموئل) بالتعاون مع المديرية العامة للآثار والمتاحف ورشة عمل في المتحف الوطني بدمشق، ركزت على اعتماد استمارة متكاملة لتقييم الأضرار في المناطق التراثية.

ناقشت الورشة:
• نهج موحد لتقييم الأضرار في المواقع التراثية
• أدوات لدعم التعافي وتوجيه أولويات إعادة الإعمار
• رؤية حول حماية الهوية الثقافية خلال التعافي الحضري

جمعت هذه الورشة خبراء وأصحاب مصلحة لتعزيز التعاون وضمان تنمية تراعي الحفاظ على التراث في المستقبل.

UN-Habitat Syria, in collaboration with the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums (DGAM), held a workshop at the National Museum in Damascus focused on adopting an Integrated Damage Assessment Form for heritage areas.

The workshop discussed:
• A unified methodology for assessing damage across heritage sites
• Tools to support recovery and guide reconstruction priorities
• Insights into safeguarding cultural identity throughout urban recovery interventions.

This workshop brought together experts and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and promote heritage-sensitive development for the future.

دعم برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية في سوريا (الموئل) ضمان حقوق حيازة الأراضي للمجتمعات الريفية في منطقة السفيرة في ريف حلب من خلال برنامج الأمم المتحدة المشترك.

وذلك بتأسيس:
📁 شعبة الأرشفة والأتمتة في دائرة أملاك الدولة، مديرية الزراعة
💻 مركز البيانات والدعم التقني في الهيئة العامة للموارد المائية

وخلال المرحلة الأولى، قام موئل الأمم المتحدة بتنفيذ أعمال التأهيل والترميم بهدف تعزيز القدرة التشغيلية للمديريتين، وتحسين الوصول إلى حقوق السكن والأراضي والممتلكات، إضافةً إلى تأمين خدمات أفضل للمراجعين.

هذا المشروع ممول من قبل من الصندوق الائتماني متعدد الشركاء بمساهمات من سويسرا، وإيطاليا، والدنمارك، والسويد، والنرويج، بهدف بناء وتعزيز القدرة على الصمود في المجتمعات الريفية والحضرية.

UN-Habitat Syria supported the strengthening of land tenure security for rural communities in the As-Safira District in rural Aleppo through the UN Joint Programme.

This includes establishing:
📁 An Archiving & Digitization Unit within the State Property Department at the Directorate of Agriculture
💻 A Data Center & Technical Support Unit at the General Commission for Water Resources

In the first phase, UN-Habitat conducted rehabilitation works to enhance the operational capacity of both directorates and to improve access to HLP rights and services for residents.

This project is funded by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund with contributions from Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, aiming to build and strengthen resilience in both rural and urban communities.

📢 Call for Proposals | Community Disaster Resilience in Homs & Aleppo

This year’s theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls” reminds us that achieving inclusive, safe, and sustainable cities starts with ensuring every woman and girl can enjoy her rights and take part in decisions that shape her community.

يحتفل برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية (الموئل) في سوريا اليوم بالنساء اللواتي يسهمن في بناء المدن يومياً، واللواتي يمثلن مجتمعاتهن في جميع المجالات، واللواتي يقومون بقيادة العمل الإنساني ودعم المجتمعات المختلفة.

يعزز شعار هذا العام "الحقوق، العدالة، العمل، من أجل جميع النساء والفتيات" بأن بناء مدن شاملة وآمنة ومستدامة يبدأ بضمان تمتع كل امرأة وفتاة بحقوقها وقدرتها على المشاركة في القرارات التي تُشكل مجتمعها.

بدعم من برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية في سوريا (الموئل) شاركت وزارة الإدارة المحلية والبيئة في منتدى مسارات التمويل المناخي الذي عقد في عمان، الأردن خلال 10–11 شباط/فبراير 2026، ضمن إطار البرنامج الإقليمي "تمكين البلديات للوصول إلى التمويل المناخي".

قدم ممثلون من والوزارة ومحافظة دمشق وريف دمشق ومدينة حماة عروضاً لافتة حول أولويات التكيف المناخي على طول نهر بردى ونهر العاصي.

وقد لاقت مشاركتهم اهتماماً كبيراً من الشركاء الرئيسيين، ما أدى إلى عقد عدة اجتماعات ثنائية مع الوكالة الفرنسية للتنمية (AFD) والصندوق العربي للإنماء الاقتصادي والاجتماعي (AFESD) وبنك الاستثمار الأوروبي (EIB) وشركة كو ووتر الدولية، بالإضافة إلى جهات أخرى مهتمة بدعم العمل المناخي في سوريا.

Supported by UN-Habitat Syria, the Syrian Ministry of Local Administration and Environment attended the Climate Finance Pathways Forum. The Forum was held in Amman, Jordan, on 10–11 February 2026 as part of the regional Programme “Empowering Municipalities to Access Climate Finance.”

Representatives from the Ministry, Damascus and rural Damascus Governorates, and Hama City delivered impactful presentations on climate adaptation priorities along Barada and Orontes rivers.

Their work drew significant interest from major partners, prompting bilateral meetings with the French Development Agency (AFD), the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), Co Water International, and others interested in supporting climate action in Syria.

في حي قاضي عسكر في حلب، تحلم سارة البالغة من العمر 15 عامًا بأن تصبح فنانة — وقد بدأت منذ الآن بالمساعدة في تشكيل مستقبل أكثر أمانًا لمدينتها.
على الرغم من أن مدرستها تبعد عشر دقائق فقط سيراً على الأقدام من منزلها، إلا أن المشي إلى هناك في ظلام الصباح الباكر غير آمن. انضمت سارة إلى ورشة عمل الوصول الآمن ضمن البرنامج المشترك للأمم المتحدة، حيث شاركت أفكاراً عدة لتحسين السلامة حول مدرستها.
وقالت: "نحتاج إلى إشارات مرورية واضحة، وإضاءة مناسبة، وأرصفة أفضل، وطرق محسّنة لحماية الطلاب والكادر التعليمي".

كما استطاعت سارة من خلال موهبتها أن ترسم نسختها الخاصة عن شكل الذي تحلم به حول مدرستها والذي يوفر لها الآمان.

تعد هذه الورشة جزءاً من البرنامج المشترك للأمم المتحدة، الممول من الصندوق الإئتماني المتعدد الشركاء وهم سويسرا، إيطاليا، الدنمارك، السويد، والنروج) لدعم جهود الصمود والتعافي في المجتمعات الريفية والحضرية في سوريا.

In Qadi Askar district, Aleppo, 15-year-old Sara dreams of becoming an artist—and she’s already helping shape a safer future for her city.

Even though her school is just 10 minutes away, walking there in the early morning darkness feels unsafe. Sara joined the Safer Access workshop under the UN Joint Programme, where she shared ideas to improve safety around her school.

“We need clear traffic signs, proper lighting, better sidewalks, and improved roads to protect students and teaching staff,” she said.

Through her talent, Sara was able to draw her own vision of what she dreams her school surroundings could look like—a place that offers her safety.

This workshop was part of the UN Joint Programme, funded by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway aiming to build resilience in both rural and urban communities.

ستتغيّر حياة سكان حي الفردوس نحو الأفضل!

لطالما عانى السكان في حي الفردوس في حلب لسنوات من الفيضانات والتلوث ومشاكل صحية خطيرة أخرى نتيجة تضرر شبكات الصرف الصحي التي دمرت خلال سنوات الصراع الطويلة.

بدأ برنامج موئل الأمم المتحدة في سوريا، تحت "مشروع تحسين الظروف المعيشية في الأحياء العشوائية في حلب وحمص" الممول من حكومة اليابان، بإعادة تأهيل خط الصرف الصحي الرئيسي في الحي، وهو تدخل حيوي سيحسن عملية تصريف المياه بشكل مباشر ويُسهم في تحسين جودة الحياة اليومية لحوالي 65,000 شخص.

The lives of the people in Al Fardous neighborhood are about to change for the better!

For years, residents have endured flooding, pollution, and severe hygiene problems caused by damaged sewage networks that were destroyed during the prolonged years of conflict.

UN-Habitat Syria, under "The Project for the Improvement of the Living Conditions in Informal Settlements in Aleppo and Homs", funded by the Government of Japan Embassy of Japan in Syria has begun restoring the neighborhood’s main sewage pipeline — a vital intervention that will directly improve water drainage and enhance the daily lives of around 65,000 residents.
