“Reduce, Reuse & Recycle”, “Air Pollution”, “Water Pollution”, “Waste Management”; all these are extremely abstract concepts that have nothing much to do with students and the things they care about. Green Carpet Awards aims to draw closer relation to these important concepts by inspiring passion and engineering the connection through appreciation and experiencing nature itself. Through experience

we give context to the critical need for 3Rs. Through sparking genuine care, we craft a new social value that will stay with students for the rest of their lives, ensuring 3Rs is not just a “I was told to do so” activity, but a “I must do this to contribute my part to nature” lifelong habit. REAL CHANGE BEGINS WITH PASSION.

Organized by the World Marketing Group, and supported by National Geographic Explorer and the National Parks Board. The Green Carpet Awards (GCA) is sponsored by Nikon Singapore to engage and inspire students in primary and secondary schools about the environment and how pollution affects it greatly. The inaugural GCA was held at the Goodwood Park Hotel and saw an overwhelming showing of support from parents, teachers and the business community as well. Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, former Minister of State for the Ministry of Community Development Youth & Sports, graced the event as the guest-of-honour. MISSION

Dr. Vivian is a strong leader both within and outside of government in directing the proper allocation and balance of resource consumption and conservation. Dr. Vivian’s presence in his capacity as a Cabinet Minister and Minister for the Environment & Water Resources will lend great importance and spotlight to the meaningful works our students have presented.
