This event serves as a fantastic warm-up and practice opportunity ahead of the upcoming ASEAN tournament Championship, next SGMS 90+30 is scheduled for mid-to-late September.

Dear Players,

As we look forward to the upcoming months of our SGMS 90+30 monthly tournaments, we would like to share a few important updates and improvements to our event structure starting from August:

Elimination of Unrated/High-Fee Spots: Moving forward, we will no longer invite unrated players who pay a high entry fee for a single spot. This adjustment ensures that every single game will have rating implications, keeping the competitive stakes meaningful and active for all participants. We firmly believe that a player's time and effort are far more valuable than entry fees.

Enhanced Officiating: To prevent any unexpected issues like the referee substitution we experienced in May, all future tournaments will be managed by two dedicated arbiters (for max 24 players) to ensure smooth and professional tournament operations.

Adjustment to Entry Fees: With our upgraded officiating and commitment to a higher-quality experience, our operational costs will naturally increase.

Consequently, the entry fee will be adjusted upward by approximately $20 -30 SGD.( for rating over 1600)
We deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support as we strive to make the SGMS 90+30 monthly tournaments better for everyone.

Dear everyone,
Thank you all for your participation in the July 90+30 tournament. We have no tournament scheduled for next week, so please take this time to rest and recharge.

For those youth players participating in the upcoming ASEAN tournament, the next 4 weeks will be critical. You will face a challenging schedule of 18 standard SGMS rounds from July 24th to August 2nd, including the matches in Malaysia. Please make the most of the "golden month" of training ahead of our next Title chess event on August 7th.

For those not participating in the ASEAN tournament, we encourage you to use this period to challenge yourselves and continue your development boost your chances of securing those prestigious ASEAN titles
We will proceed with our regular monthly 90+30 tournament after ASEAN tournament .

Regarding tonight's competition, I hope everyone enjoys the intense, high-level atmosphere on the board.

Hi everyone,
Today is the final day to register for our July SGMS 90+30 tournament. It has been two months since our last match, and I truly hope you all had a wonderful and refreshing break throughout June.

We currently have only 4 spots left, so if you are planning to join, please register as soon as possible!

I am very much looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and catching up with our chess players this weekend.
Please note that we have planned a regular schedule for our 90+30 tournaments, which will take place once every month from now until November. (No tournaments in Dec.) Hope to see you all on the board!
