PARAGRAPH is a company of professional artists, based in Singapore, working in tandem for the purpose of making and performing inter-disciplinary works.

PARAGRAPH is a collective of young dance artists coming together for the purpose of making creative works. We aim to share our inspirations with our audiences through strong collaborative work process and bold expression of ideas, in hope of becoming active contributors to the development of the local dance scene.

段,乃“殳”变译词，是古代一种兵器，从殳(shū)耑(duān)声。用作意符,表示与手持器械的动作有关。段亦俗称段落，乃全篇文章的基本层次, 犹如我团在互相训练，编排，演绎过程中，不断学习，扶持，成长......期待以坚韧不拔的精神，在日积月累的经验中展现段的锋芒。

Introducing our last dancer, Fionna Kwok.

Fionna Kwok graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in year 2014. Since then she has performed in Run Another Way '14 by Raw Moves and Walking On Air and Dance Is An Art by John Mead Dance Company, and Phrases'16 by Paragraph Dance Company. Fionna hopes to continue her exploration of dance to gain additional opportunities to work with a wide variety of artists.

Our next dancer, Viv Phua, in our upcoming production, Lucid Spheres.

Viv's journey of dance started at a young age, when she began to show strong interest in this performing arts. Trained in Chinese dance at age of seven, Viv was later introduced to modern dance forms. Upon graduating from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2015, she had been teaching and performing.

Introducing our next dancer, Esther Khong.

Esther, currently a freelance performing artiste, started ballet at the age of four and has attained her Intermediate Certificate with Royal Academy of Dancing and Elementary Certificate with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing. She took on Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop as she trained in college. Esther went on to work with various choreographers and directors in dancing as well as acting. In 2003, under the guidance of Tommy Wong, Esther was introduced to backstage work and has taken on various roles inmany theatre productions. She joined ECNAD in 2010 as Associate Dancer and Dance Instructor. She choreographed and performed with the company in various performances.

Our next Dancer for Lucid Spheres, Subastian Tan.

Starting out as a hip-hop dancer, Subastian first ventured into contemporary and Asian dance forms when he joined NUS Dance Ensemble in 2013. Having danced under various choreographers in performances such as The Next Wave 2014, M1 Contact Festival and O School Recital among others, Subastian aims to continuously explore new forms of movement.

Introducing our next dancer, Agnes Lim for Lucid Spheres!

At the age of 13, Agnes started her dance journey as part of her school’s co-curricular dance club. Upon graduation, she pursued her passion in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, performed in a number of pieces choreographed by Mdm Lim Fei Shen (Singapore), Pichet Klunchun (Thailand), Larry Clark (US) and Aida Redza (Malaysia). Previously, she has also been performing actively with RAW MOVES Dance Companyunder the guidance of Mr Ricky Sim such as ExxonMobil Campus Concert (2014), Run another way (2014) and R.E.P. (2014). As a versatile dancer, she has explored other genres like hip hop and break dance and competed in a variety of dance competitions and performances eg. SG 50 national day parade as a Main dancer for Stefanie Sun as well as both TRDO (The Royal Dance Off) chapter 5/ ABCD (All Babes Cinleisure Dance) 2015 group Finalist.
