parkrun Singapore parkruns are 5km events that take place every weekend, at locations all around the world, where peopl There are no winners at parkrun and nobody comes last.

The best-kept secret about parkrun is that it’s not about running - it’s about bringing people together in public parks and open spaces to have some fun in a friendly, social and supportive environment. You can walk or run the 5k course (pushing a pram or with one dog on a short lead if you want to!), lend a helping hand as a volunteer in a wide range of super-easy roles, or simply spectate and so

cialise on the sidelines. Regular participation is rewarded rather than performance, with free ‘parkrun milestone shirts’ awarded to people to recognise their achievements in coming along. parkrun is whatever you want it to be, whenever you want to take part. Most parkruns finish with a social gathering at a coffee shop or community centre and everyone is invited to come along for refreshments and a chat. ..We set off in humid conditions encouraged by the marshals. Natalie with the cow bell and the Agnieszka with the music helped us keep motivated. Lots of chickens also helped to cock-a-doodle us along! I have never been at such a hot and humid parkrun, my coldest so far being Elagin Ostrov in St Petersburg back in 2016 when it was -20 degrees!...

The countdown is on! In just a few weeks, we'll be celebrating Singapore's National Day with special parkrun events on 9 August at:

🏃‍♀️ East Coast Park parkrun
🏃‍♂️ West Coast Park parkrun

Whether you're running, jogging, walking, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, we'd love you to join us for this special morning of community, movement, and National Day spirit.

❤️🤍 Don't forget to wear your red and white and help us create a sea of Singapore colours across both events! ❤️🤍

💜 Volunteer rosters are OPEN and we'd love your support! 💜

These events can only happen thanks to our amazing Hi-Vis Heroes. If you'd like to volunteer, now is the perfect time to put your name down. There are plenty of roles available, and full training will be provided—first-time volunteers are always welcome.
