Dear friends,

Today marks the end of Hillside 1820’s lease. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to you all, partners, supporters and friends, for 3 fantastic years we have been here. The success achieved would not have been possible without all your unwavering support.

Fret not nonetheless, we will still be managing other centres under our company, TRCL. Do check out 10 Square at Orchard Central and The Little Arts Academy Studios!

We are also still contactable at [email protected] so feel free to reach out anytime.

Till then, take care, stay safe, stay in contact and enjoy some photo highlights of events that have graced this black and white house.

Yours truly,
Hillside 1820 Team

Hillside 1820

A Cultural Sanctuary Bridging Borders, Building Communities

Hillside 1820 is two historical black and white bungalows located on the slopes of Mount Faber at Temenggong Road. The centre serves as a conducive environment for the confluence of shared experiences between communities around the region to promote Singapore as an arts and cultural hub in an increasingly globalised world.

This initiative of The RICE Company Limited (TRCL) in partnership with Global Cultural Alliance (GCA) Ltd is possibly the first such centre in Singapore solely dedicated towards these purposes.

The programmes of Hillside 1820 comprises of talks, exhibitions, performances and workshops. It aims to highlight the diversity of cultures and how exchanges between communities of different cultural experiences and backgrounds can promote understanding and build cultural intelligence to foster a connected Singapore. Through these programmes, the team aspires to develop Singapore as the premiere cultural hub for the exchanges of ideas and knowledge that will enrich the society.
