Thank you to .sg for this beautiful behind-the-scenes look at our first microdrama, SECOND HAND STORIES.

It’s a tale set inside a tiny heartland watch shop, one of those places that quietly holds decades of memories. Through the people who keep coming back, we try to trace Singapore’s own growing-up years: the familiar rhythms, the small comforts, and the moments that make us linger just a little longer.

When I received this brilliant script for AIA Singapore from the Socialyse folks at Havas Singapore, I knew it would allow me to draw inspiration from my own experiences as a naughty ‘boyboy’ growing up in the 90s to help convey an important message to Singaporeans.

Thanks to an amazingly talented cast, crew and my guys at BREED, we managed to bring this funny, heartfelt film to life and to say I’m proud of what we’ve achieved is a massive understatement.

On a personal note, this project also reunited me with my longtime art partner AC Ngai to reignite some of our old creative magic. Hope you guys enjoy it, and do look out for a longer cut from me soon!
